Senior Master Greg Diaz

Senior Master Gregorio Diaz is a 7th Degree Black belt he is the owner of #1 Martial Arts in Tampa Palms and Lutz.  He began his training in Asuncion Paraguay South America.  Master Diaz received his 1st Degree Black Belt in 1980 over the years  he continued to test for  each rank then in 2005 in Little Rock Arkansas he tested for his 7th Degree Black Belt which is his current rank today.  Master Diaz has been teaching for over 11 years in Tampa, Florida.

Master Diaz in known for hosting  the FREE Kidz ‘n Power Child Safety Open House each year in September, that educate parents and children in the community on how to reduce the rising number of child abductions. Those attending learn break away techniques, stranger warning signs, and tips to dealing with bullies presented by the Kidz ‘n Power Program in partnership with the nationally known experts in child safety, AMBERAlerts.com.  Senior Master Diaz and his instructors also participate in the Great American Teach-In as part of Hillsborough County School’s annual American Education Week Celebration.

Chief Instructor Hugo Torres

Mr. Torres is the Chief instructor at #1 Martial Arts in Lutz.  He is a 4th Degree Black Belt.  Mr. Torres began his training in 1988 at the age of 7 in Luque Paraguay South America.  Mr. Torres earned his 1st degree Black Belt in 1991 at the age of 10.  He has achieved the title of Florida State Champion for Weapons in 2006 and 2007.

Chief Instructor Christian Magrini

Mr. Magrini  is the Chief Instructor of #1 Martial Arts in Tampa Palms, Tampa, Fl.  Mr. Magrin is currently a 4th Degree Black Belt.  Mr. Magrini began his training as a martial artist in 1986 at the age of 6 in Asuncion Paraguay South America.  Mr. Magrini is a National Champion in Paraguay in the years of 1994, 1997 and 2001.  He has been an instructor since 1999.   He holds a Bachelors Degree in Sports Science.

Mrs. Dee Campbell

Mrs. Campbell is a 3rd Black at #1 Martial Arts in Lutz, Fl.  Mrs. Campbell began her training with Senior Master Greg Diaz in 2002.  She holds the titles of Florida State Champion for Forms in 2007 and Weapons in 2007.  Mrs. Campbell was also a Top 10 competitor in Forms and Sparring.  Mrs. Campbell is the mother of 3 boys: Oravian -1st Degree Black Belt, Rorrie - 1st Degree Black Belt, and T-Jay - 2nd Degree Black Belt.  She is studying for her BA Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Miss Colleen McDermot

Miss McDermot is a 3rd Degree Black Belt at #1 Martial Arts in Tampa Palms Tampa, Fl.  Miss McDermot began her training in 2003 Port Orange Daytona Beach.  She earned her 1st Degree Black Belt in 2005.  She holds the title of State 2008 and a Top 10 competitor in Sparring and Forms in 2008.  Miss McDermot is currently a USF student.

Miss Rebeckah Shaw

Miss Shaw is a 3rd degree black belt and has been studying taekwondo for 8 years. She received her 1st Degree Black Belt in Sonoma County, California when she was 13 years old. She relocated to Florida in 2006 and joined the #1 Martial Arts team. Miss Shaw has been a top 10 competetor in the state of Florida and the World and continues to enlist in competitions around the country. She attends St. Petersberg College as a full time student majoring in Parallegal studies and Business Administration in hopes to go to law school.
